Introduction
What’s up guys? This is David Hoang coming at you from supplementsuperhero.com, the coolest website on the planet. Just kidding. Not really. Maybe, maybe not. You guys be the judge.
Anyways, today, I’m going to be doing a Cellucor C4 Ripped review. Okay, so I know I have a couple of other videos that I’ve posted.
I have my product opening, which you can check out where I open it for the first time and then I have my own personal testimonial about my first day of actually using the product.
Cellucor Brand Info
But, today, I want to do an actual review where I go through how it works, so on, so forth. So, if you haven’t heard of the product before, Cellucor has absolutely exploded in popularity over the years as a pre-workout.
Lots of people who are interested in fitness, bodybuilding, so on, so forth, have been using the product. And I got the product as a present from my little brother as a Christmas gift.
So, this is actually my very first time actually using a Cellucor product. Overall, I’m pretty happy. You can check out my personal testimonial. It’s another video that I’ve got on my channel.
But, anyways, the product acts as a pre-workout, which means you take it about 20 to 30 minutes before your workout and it gives you a lot more energy and you can have more fun during your workout.
You can run faster, last longer, lift heavier weights, whatever. And this particular…because Cellucor, they have a lot of different, sort of, types of pre-workout products.
So, they have some that, this one for example, helps you with weight loss and fat burning. They have other ones out there which help you gain muscle, and they have just a lot of other branches, like sub branches, of their products, their pre-workouts.
This one is designed to help you lose weight and help you burn fat, specifically.
The Basics of Cellucor C4 Ripped
So, one of these has about 30 servings, so it will last you about a month or so, if you do one a day. If you do two a day, which you probably don’t want to do, because that’s probably too much, but if you take one of these a day, it’s going to last you about a month, which is a pretty good deal.
One of these costs less than 30 bucks on Amazon.com. You can check it out in the link below, which is decent, decent for a pre-workout product.
And, obviously, they have buy-in-bulk deals and so on, so forth. If you look inside, it’s sort of this reddish powder. This is the Fruity Rainbow Blast flavor.
It tastes sort of like, it has this really fruity type punch flavor to it. It’s like a strawberry-type flavor. It’s really good. I like it.
So, you take it in a scoop like this, put it in a shaker cup, mix it with water or mix it with any other liquid that you’re currently using.
You shake it up and then you have yourself a nice fruity-type of drink that you can drink before your workouts.
They recommend that you should take it as an adult. So, if you’re 12 years-old, you might not want to take it because there’s a lot of strong ingredients in this product, caffeine being one of them.
I don’t recommend as a little kid or as a preteen taking tons of caffeine. That’s something that could potentially affect your growth.
The Ingredients: Vitamins
If you look at the ingredients here, you can see there…okay, you may or may not be able to see, depending on whether or not the camera zooms properly.
But, if you want to read up more, there’s a link below that goes to Amazon.com and then it’ll go into more depth. You can read the ingredient label on Amazon.
But, basically, it’s got vitamin C in it, about 417% daily value. This is per scoop. 400% vitamin C, which is great. It helps to boost your immunity.
Niacin, 150%, so that helps to boost energy. Vitamin B6, 25%. Again, another energy boosting ingredient. Folic acid, 62%, and that helps with a variety of things.
Vitamin B12, which is sort of the energy king. You’ll notice that you’ll see a lot of energy drinks have that in it. Five Hour Energy has a lot of B12 in it, for example, 583%. So, plenty there for you. It’s got some calcium in it, 1%.
The Ingredients: Amino Acids
Now, we’ve got some amino acids here. There’s carnosine beta-alanine. That’s a type of amino acid which helps you build muscle.
It’s an amino acid that helps with a lot of other athletic-related activities as well. And carnosine beta-alanine is an ingredient that’s really, really widely sold and really put it in a variety of sports nutrition supplements. It’s got arginine alpha-ketoglutarate. It’s mouthful right there. Another amino acid.
So, amino acids help with recovery. They help with building up muscles. They help with protein synthesis in your body, all that good stuff. So some really good ingredients so far.
So far, a lot of energy ingredients, a lot of amino acids, which also help with energy but also help with protein synthesis.
Proprietary Blend & More Ingredients
And, it’s got this blend here, it’s sort of like a proprietary blend that Cellucor, itself, puts together, so they don’t list the exact combination, but the various ingredients that they put in it are L-carnitine, tartrate, green coffee bean extract…you’ll see that in a lot of weight loss supplements.
So, green coffee bean extract, capsimax cayenne…you’ll also see that in a lot of a weight loss supplements as well. So, again, capsimax cayenne helps to burn fat, helps to boost the metabolism.
Let’s see what else. Let’s see. Okay. Coleus forskohlii extract. That’s an ingredient I don’t know too much about, haven’t done a ton of research on it, but I know that’s in lot of weight loss supplements as well.
And, then, they also have this explosive energy blend. So, N-acetyl L-tyrosine. Okay. Caffeine anhydrous. Okay, so caffeine is in a lot of weight loss supplements as well.
Okay, that’s another thing too that they recommend. If you’re going to take this and you take any product that has caffeine in it, made sure to drink a lot of water because that stuff can get you dehydrated and can make you have a sort of bloated feeling in your belly.
Velvet bean seed extract. And, then, so that’s the explosive energy blend. And then they also have other ingredients as well, which are, kind of normal, like citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, red beet juice, sucralose.
Okay, so that sweetener is really good, by the way. Sucralose, in my opinion, I’m a big fan of sucralose because it doesn’t spike your blood sugars and doesn’t act like normal sucrose or normal sugars.
Okay, calcium silicates, silicone dioxide, acesulfame potassium. Alright, so, basic stuff there, but overall, I mean, as I look through these ingredients and just based on my generalized knowledge, I think it’s a lot of good stuff.
Energy products, weight loss ingredients, as well as some muscle building ingredients as well, so amino acids. So, I definitely highly recommend it.
Anything Bad?
The one downside to this that, I would say, is that there’s sort of a strong taste to the powder itself. So, make sure, if you’re actually mixing it up and shaking it up in your shaker cup, make sure to mix it really, really, really well, because if you taste some of the powder itself, it has this really, really strong taste on your tongue and as you ingest it down your throat.
So, again, be careful. Don’t take the powder straight, and if you do mix it with water or mix it with anything else, make sure to shake it up really, really, really good, so that you don’t have to taste the powder directly because the powder itself has this really strong taste on your tongue that’s just really nasty.
