Introduction
Yo, what’s up guys? This is David Hoang coming at you from supplementsuperhero.com, and I’ve got another exciting video for you in my celebrity body transformation series.
I’m going to be talking about Chris Pratt, right? The infamous Chris Pratt. Abs and body and the secrets that he essentially utilized to obtain the “Chris Pratt superhero body”.
Background Info on Pratt
So, if you don’t know, Chris Pratt actually stars in Guardians of the Galaxy. He’s the main character, Star Lord, all of that.
I think he became really, really popular, especially when it came to his body, especially when it came to his abs, in the movie because up until that time, in his role right before it, he was actually kind of fat.
He did get ripped multiple times in some other movies, like Zero Dark Thirty, like Moneyball, but in particular, for Guardians of the Galaxy in his role as Star Lord, he got in really, really, really good shape and really took things to the next level.
In fact, for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, he actually lost 60 pounds. Right? He lost 60 freakin’ pounds, man. That’s huge.
Now, I don’t know the exact timeframe that it took him to lose all that weight, but regardless, if you could take your body to become 60 pounds lighter, then it definitely says a lot about what you did, your diet, your exercise, so on and so forth.
The Secret to Chris Pratt Abs
In Chris Pratt’s words, his secret to success and the secret to getting the “Chris Pratt abs” and “Chris Pratt body” was, simply in his own words, this is what he said: “Three to four hours a day of ass-kicking hard work.”
Again, that’s three to four hours per day of ass-kicking hard work.
So, he would literally work out at the gym six days a week, three to four hours a day and put in tons and tons and tons of work. I think we could learn a lot from that.
There’s no real shortcut to success.
Unfortunately, there is no get-fit-quick scheme out there on the planet. Nothing will substitute hard work.
It’s always going to take effort. It’s always going to take energy. It’s always going to take hard work. I think that’s something that we all have to always remember.
He worked very, very closely with a personal trainer. He would do a variety of things like P90X, boxing, kickboxing, he went running, he went swimming.
In fact, he actually did a triathlon to prepare for his role, right? A triathlon, that’s huge. That’s running, biking and swimming for really, really long distances. That’s huge.
By the way, all those are great, kickboxing, boxing, running, swimming, triathlons, but just P90X alone is ass-kicking. P90X is a tough program.
I was actually, I didn’t even realize this, but I was having a conversation with a coworker, or a guy I used to work with I should say, a while back. He told me that he tried P90X, and he literally said it was the hardest workout that he’s ever done out of any workout program he’s done, out of all his years throughout sports, out of his current workout routine.
He said P90X is the hardest workout that he’s tried. Keep that in mind, guys. P90X was just one component of what Chris Pratt did.
He was actually kicking butt in the gym six days a week. Nothing will substitute workout, consistency, so on and so forth.
Chris Pratt’s Diet
On top of that, he obviously had a massive change in diet.
He basically changed it, and basically started eating 4,000 calories a day. 4,000 calories a day to build up that lean muscle on top of all the work that he did at the gym.
If you don’t know, I did another video about Paul Rudd, who took some advice from Chris Pratt. If Chris Pratt does indeed follow his own advice, it turns out that he actually cut out a lot of the fun foods, like alcohol, carbs, sweets, so on so forth.
So, 4,000 calories a day of nice, clean eating, and when I mean clean, probably not the fun kind of eating right.
A lot of times when these athletes or these Hollywood guys get in these roles, many times they’re eating clean, eating lean meats, lots of proteins, lots of vegetables, all the healthy stuff, which can be boring at times.
Last but not least, one thing that Chris Pratt did say at the end of his interview with Men’s Fitness is that, after he lost all the weight, he said that he’s really committed to actually remaining ripped, and remaining cut, and remaining healthy, because it does give him a sense of control.
And that’s one thing, too, that I think we can all take away.
Yes, it’s one thing to lose it, but it’s also another thing to maintain that.
I think it’s very important, as well, that we all learn from Chris Pratt, not just to lose it, but to always keep in mind that we want to keep it, and we want to retain it, and continuously keep up the good habits and continue on with a nice, healthy lifestyle.
Conclusion
Hopefully this helped out, guys. Hope you liked this, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve learned a lot from Chris Pratt.
